Terms of service

These terms are between you and Kushal Jain, who makes Sidekins (“we”). By using Sidekins you agree to them. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.

The service

Sidekins is a companion for your Mac that talks with you, looks at your screen when you ask, guides you through things, and does them for you when you let it. It is early: features change, and like any AI it can be wrong. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.

Your account

You must be at least 13 to use Sidekins. Keep your sign-in safe; you are responsible for what is done with your account. Give accurate details when you sign up.

What your kin does on your Mac

In Do mode your kin acts on your screen when you ask it to. You stay responsible for what you ask it to do and for checking the result. It asks you first before anything that reaches other people, spends money or deletes, and it never pays, enters passwords or card numbers, or answers your Mac's permission prompts for you.

Using it fairly

Do not use Sidekins to break the law, to harm, harass or deceive people, to send spam, to get into accounts or systems that are not yours, or to break or overload the service. You can block and report people, and we may suspend accounts that do these things.

What you make

What you write and make with Sidekins is yours. You let us store and process it as needed to run Sidekins for you, as the privacy policy describes. What you send to friends reaches them.

Pro

Paid plans are sold and billed by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record, at the price shown before you buy. You can cancel at any time; your plan then stops renewing at the end of the period you have paid for.

Other services

Sidekins works with other apps and services, such as your browser, Google and Spotify. Their own terms apply to your use of them.

No warranty

Sidekins is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop using Sidekins at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to 18kushaljain@gmail.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes, and we tell you in the app about anything that matters.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
